On a scale of scorching to freezing cold, the Los Angeles Lakers off-season has been room temperature compared to the big splash Lakers fans and some league executives were expecting. Resigning a few key players, drafting a possible future All-Star and the additions of some well-known names has elevated what could have been labeled a summer disaster rather than a summer disappointment.

If you’re partial to the adage “it could’ve been worse” and if you’ve paid attention to the Lakers over the last couple of seasons — you know it could have.

Although their plan still isn’t very clear, it’s obvious the Lakers are making an attempt to improve. Although they swung and missed on their free agent targets, the Lakers will seek to improve in next years free agency and through trade.

They’re low on greatness, but still have some moveable pieces. Thus, players the Lakers are more likely to move via trade this season.
