The Dallas Mavericks are heading into one of their last seasons with Dirk Nowitzki at the helm, and they have quite a bit of talent on their roster to make a run. They were very happy with the production that Monta Ellis gave them last season, but those two players aren’t going to be able to win a championship by themselves. Mark Cuban wanted to make a splash in free agency, and he was able to do just that by prying small forward Chandler Parsons away from the Houston Rockets.

Perhaps the most underrated signing of the offseason will end up being the Mavericks’ deal with veteran point guard Jameer Nelson. He will be the perfect game manager for them on the court, and will also add some three-point shooting and all-around offensive firepower. The Mavericks were looking at starting Raymond Felton at the point this season, and obviously Nelson will be a nice upgrade over him.

All of that being said, there is a lot to be excited about for the Mavericks and their fans this coming season. Cuban has made it clear that he believes the Mavericks can win another championship with Nowitzki leading the way, and they have put together a very talented roster to attempt that. What five bold predictions can be made about the Mavericks’ 2014-15 season?
