The Chicago Bulls are headed into an intriguing season with high expectations, but their hopes for playoff contention and a potential championship all hinge on one big uncertainty. Derrick Rose is coming off of his second season-ending knee injury in just as many seasons, and the Bulls are hoping that he is able to get back to the level of basketball that he played at before both injuries occurred.

Rose has been very vocal about being completely healthy, but that doesn’t mean that he will be able to play at the same level as he used to.

Chicago did bring in Pau Gasol in free agency, which could be the move that puts them over the top if Rose is able to stay healthy. He will bring a unique offensive game to the frontcourt that the Bulls haven’t had in quite some time, and he will be able to help teach those moves to both Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson.

Gasol hasn’t been promised a starting job, but either way he is going to be an integral part of what the Bulls are trying to do this season.

All of that being said, the Bulls are looking to be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference this season. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Indiana Pacers are all going to be at the top of the conference with the Bulls, but Chicago believes it has the complete roster to make a run. What five bold predictions can be made about the 2014-15 Bulls?
