The Charlotte Hornets have been one of the busiest teams this offseason, and are trying to put together a team that can contend against the better teams in the Eastern Conference. They have added some good players through free agency and the draft, but their biggest move was stealing shooting guard Lance Stephenson away from the Indiana Pacers.

There is absolutely no doubt that they have improved their team to the point where they are in the conversation to contend in the playoffs.

Adding Stephenson could either put them over the top, or it could end up causing some issues in the locker room and on the court. The Hornets currently have Kemba Walker as their point guard, and he is the type of guard that needs the ball in his hands to be successful.

Stephenson is the exact same way, and that caused some issues back in his tenure with the Pacers last season.

All of that being said, on paper the Hornets look much better than they were last season. They added some pieces that should help them against better competition, and the depth that they added will come up big as well.

Despite the additions they made, they are still a very young team and are more than capable of falling apart unless the team leadership is able to step up. What five bold predictions can be made about the 2014-15 Hornets?
