The Boston Celtics are heading into their second season under head coach Brad Stevens, and there is quite a bit of a buzz surrounding the entire city. They were able to snag both Marcus Smart and James Young in the draft, and big man Kelly Olynyk is expected to take a step forward as well. It isn’t likely that they will be able to contend for a playoff spot in an improved Eastern Conference, but there is going to be a lot going on within the organization as the season progresses.

Despite not having a championship contending team, the Celtics are looking to take the next step in their rebuilding process. Stevens showed last season that he can get the most out of a bad team, and he will have a lot more talent to work with this year. Smart and Young both look to be legitimate scorers at the next level, and Stevens is going to be able to put them on the floor and see what they have right away.

All of that being said, there is a lot of excitement about the upcoming season from the fans who watched last year. There are plenty of reasons to be happy about the progress that was made this offseason, and the Celtics are still looking to make another trade if one makes itself available. What five bold predictions can be made about the 2014-15 Celtics?
