The Portland Trail Blazers have some of the most avid fans in the association and last season went a long way in reinvigorating the city and putting Rip City back on the national stage. For the first time since 2002, the Trail Blazers won a playoff series and they did it in exciting fashion with a buzzer-beating, series-clinching three-pointer by their star point guard Damian Lillard.

This prompted me to take a look back at the 1976-77 season and recap where those players are today and what they’re doing. First, here’s a brief overview of the Blazers’ season and their road to the championship.
