The San Antonio Spurs have won five NBA Championships, six Western Conference titles and 20 division championships in their decorated history.

Currently on a run of 15 consecutive regular seasons with at least 50 wins, San Antonio’s one of the early favorites to win it all again next year.

However, the Spurs know even with most of the 2013-14 regular season roster returning, getting out of the West won’t be easy. Gregg Popovich was able to fuel San Antonio to their fifth title in 2014 by showing them video of how close the silver and black were to a fifth ring a year earlier.

Now the Spurs’ motivation is to repeat. Most seasons, analysts predict San Antonio’s demise and the Spurs continue to make those experts look idiotic. In a year where San Antonio brings back their core, though, the Spurs are in the unfamiliar role as one of the favorites to win next year’s NBA championship.
