Festus Ezeli Injury Update:

It was only a month ago that Ezeli was cleared to play and gearing up for the NBA Summer League. But thanks to yet another unfortunate setback, Ezeli won’t be playing in the Summer League after all.

According to The Oakland Tribune, a right shin inflammation is the latest injury to befall Golden State’s backup center. Although the Dubs insist it’s not a serious injury and the he’s being held out for precautionary reasons, it has to be a little bit worrisome for Warriors fans that Ezeli is once again banged up.

After Ezeli missed the entire 2013-14 season because of a right knee surgery, Golden State would like to see him back out there and healthy for training camp, especially if Jermaine O’Neal either retires or doesn’t re-sign with the team. Ezeli played 78 games in his lone NBA season, averaging 2.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 14.4 minutes per game.
