Tick tock.

Hear that? That’s the sound of the clock counting down to the NBA Draft. Tonight, the Charlotte franchise will make its first selection as the modern-day Charlotte Hornets, and hopes to strike gold with the ninth pick, courtesy of the Corey Maggette deal with the Detroit Pistons.

With numerous teams looking to trade up, and plenty of wiggle room for each prospect to be drafted higher or lower than his projection, the lottery is far from set in stone. Knowing that, the Hornets’ options are hard to pinpoint as of now, but here are five players that should get a good look from the Hornets, assuming each is still available at the 9th slot.
