Wednesday was the day that mattered most for the Cavaliers in regards to Joel Embiid. His talent and star potential was never in doubt and that’s exactly the reason that Embiid is in contention for the top overall pick.

Embiid is a legitimate 7’0″, 240+ pounds, with quick feet and a soft touch.  Considering he took up the sport of basketball just four years ago, he has the potential to continue to develop quickly and could become one of the top centers in the league.

The hold-up has always been on whether Embiid would pass the Cavaliers’ team medical.  If healthy, Embiid could revolutionize the team on both offense and defense.
