Serge Ibaka‘s back and so are the second-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in this Western Conference Finals best-of-7 slugfest, storming past the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs 106-97 Sunday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
On Friday Ibaka’s status was upgraded to day-to-day from out for the rest of the playoffs with a grade 2 left calf strain. Without Serge, San Antonio scored 118 points on 78 percent shooting in the paint alone.
OKC had given up 123.4 points per 100 possessions during the first two contests at the AT&T Center. During the regular season when the Thunder were 4-0 against the Spurs with Ibaka, they allowed just 93.0 points per 100 possessions.
