Welcome to the Daily NBA Fix for May 22, 2014. We had Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals last night and the San Antonio Spurs went out of their way to embarrass the Oklahoma City Thunder in a way we haven’t seen this season. The Thunder lost by 35 points and held Kevin Durant to just 15 points. If it sounds bad, believe me, it was much worse.

Check out the highlight video below and make sure to check the following pages for a full recap of the Spurs vs. Thunder, plus daily links for every team in the association. Just because your team is out of the playoffs doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot to talk about.

I’m still trying to grasp the concept that the Cleveland Cavaliers will have three No. 1 picks over the span of four seasons and four in 11 years, yet teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns have none in their history.

Nothing I hate worse in sports than homers. I was a little surprised by Durant’s and Westbrook’s words after the game saying they’re not frontrunners and team players. They may be that, but routinely even with Ibaka the two OKC superstars don’t make their teammates better. If home cooking doesn’t help in Game 3, this series will not go back to San Antonio.
