We’ve been treated to quite the NBA playoffs so far and we’re just getting started. The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers square off starting Sunday afternoon, with the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder starting their battle Monday night.
These teams know each other well, but the postseason is a totally different beast. The Spurs lost all four games to the Thunder in the regular season, but would anyone in their right mind call for a Thunder sweep? Absolutely not. Throw in the wrench that is the Serge Ibaka injury and things are even more up in the air.
For the Pacers, they’ve had more difficulty than any No. 1 seed in recent memory over the past few months. During a two-week span, they defeated the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder, then lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. No matter how badly they’ve looked, they continue to get up for the games they need the most and they always play the Heat tough.
Let’s take a look at the biggest key for each of these teams as they look to advance to the NBA Finals.
