The Knicks temporarily delayed Toronto’s clinching party, but the Raptors were crowned Atlantic Division champions when Atlanta beat Brooklyn. More importantly for New York, it stayed in the playoff hunt with the win. Carmelo Anthony had 30 points for the Knicks to go with three steals, Amar’e Stoudemire had 24 points and 11 rebounds and J.R. Smith scored 15 points. DeMar DeRozan had 26 points for the Raptors, Kyle Lowry added 25 and Jonas Valanciunas finished with 14 points and 21 rebounds.
Washington Wizards 96, ORLANDO MAGIC 86
The Wizards outscored the Magic 29-16 en route to a 10-point win that moved Washington a game up on Charlotte for the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference. Nene Hilario had 17 points in just 20 minutes for the Wizards, Bradley Beal went for 16 points and three steals and John Wall finished with 10 points and 12 assists. Arron Afflalo paced the Magic with 19 points, Jameer Nelson logged 12 points and 11 assists, Kyle O’Quinn had 13 points and three blocked shots and Dewayne Dedmon grabbed 10 rebounds.
