Derrick Rose: 3 Reasons Why He Should Not Return This Season
Chemistry
Whether fans want to hear this or not, the Bulls have played well without the former MVP over the past three years.
For example, during the 27 games that Rose missed during the 2011-12 season, Chicago won 18 of those games.
During the 2012-13 campaign– a season in which Rose missed all 82 games, the Bulls recorded 45 wins, which was good enough for the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference.
And they went on to win a first-round playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets.
If that doesn’t convince you, then you should also take a look at this season.
Although Rose has played in just 10 games this season due to a torn meniscus, the Bulls are in position to win more games than they did last year without him and Luol Deng (who was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers), in the lineup.
In other words, Chicago has established an identity, and Rose returning to the lineup at this point would only take away from what the team has accomplished this year.
