Rodney Hood (SF) – Duke

Rodney Hood is the sort of strong two-way swingman that often thrives in the NBA. The 21-year-old Duke standout has spent much of his year playing sidekick to Jabari Parker, but there has been plenty of evidence to suggest that he can figure in his own right as a pro.

Hood has decent size at 6’8″, but could still do with adding some extra muscle for the big league. Hood is a strong defender both on and off the ball, while on the opposite end of the floor he can use his speed to get to the rim and dunk over opponents.

Perhaps his most valuable skill from the Pistons point of view is his three point shooting though. For the team currently ranked 29th in 3-point percentage, the prospect of a genuine wing scorer, who at Duke shot 42 percent on just under five attempts from long range per game, must be very appealing.
