PLAYER OF THE GAME

Markieff Morris earns the nod for player of the game, with his 25 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots. As he’s done so often this season, he provided a huge lift off the bench when guys like Channing Frye or Miles Plumlee couldn’t get it going.

Having to bang down low with the likes of Kevin Love is never a fun scenario, but Morris proved he’s no slouch. With Love on him, Morris looked to back him down into the post, with a lot of success. Morris shot 10-for-13 from the field and was 3-for-3 from the 3-point line.

Morris is a Sixth Man of the Year candidate, as he’s averaging 13.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and .9 steals per game in 26.1 minutes. He’s shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 78.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Honorable Mention: Eric Bledsoe — 21 points, five rebounds, five assists and one steal.
