Before every NBA season, each writer worth their salt will come out with a list of predictions for the upcoming season. We here at HoopsHabit.com were no different, as a number of our people made some bold statements ahead of the start of the 2013-14 season.

Of course, nobody is going to be perfect when making statements so far in advance. Who could have seen Ish Smith getting meaningful minutes, anyways? I’ve compiled 10 NBA storylines that we missed on at the start of the 2013-14 NBA season.

To protect the guilty, I’ve withheld the authors name that looked into their magic eight ball to come up with these locks. Perhaps we should have just had them draw blindly from a hat. Maybe next year.

Without further adieu, let’s take a look at our list — starting with everyone’s favorite darling from the great city of Chicago, Illinois (no, not Michael Jordan).
