Good Defense > Good Offense — The Bulls got 21 points from a bludgeoned Mike Dunleavy, 19 from Kirk Hinrich and another near triple-double from Joakim Noah with his 13 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in a game in which they never trailed. Chicago shot 50 percent from the field, while holding the Rockets to just 35.4 percent. Houston was led by Jeremy Lin, who scored 21 off the bench. James Harden scored just eight points with five turnovers.
ATLANTA HAWKS 102, Milwaukee Bucks 97
Not Perfect, But Enough — The Hawks overcame 17 turnovers (while forcing just eight) to come back from a 13-point deficit en route to keeping their playoff hopes alive. Jeff Teague scored 22 with eight assists, Paul Millsap scored 16 with eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks and Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll added 15 each. The Bucks got 22 points, 10 rebounds and two steals from Ersan Ilyasova and 20 points from Brandon Knight.
OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 131, Los Angeles Lakers 102
Check Out Our Big Three — Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka made quite a statement on Thursday night. In a combined 82 minutes, they scored 73 points with 19 rebounds, 12 assists, six steals and 11 blocks. Yeah, it was the lowly Lakers, but that’s impressive nonetheless. The Lakers were led by Jodie Meeks and his 19 points, with Kent Bazemore adding 16 points and seven rebounds from the bench.
