Alive or Dead: Gauging Playoff Pulse For NBA Fringe Teams

Don’t look now, but the NBA playoffs are just around the corner. With 20-25 games left in the regular season, there’s just enough time to get hot and ride into the playoffs for a lot of the teams that have started slowly (looking at you, Knickerbockers).

This piece isn’t going to take a look at those who are virtual locks to make the playoffs. We’re looking at those middling teams who are either in one of the bottom positions now, ones that are barely on the outside looking in, teams that are holding on to their last hope and the ones who are deader than a door nail.

For the sake of keeping everyone involved, let’s take a quick look at those who are virtual locks to make it (and miss it).
