Tim Tebow really started his career during the 2007 season, when he won the Heisman Trophy and ended the season with 23 rushing touchdowns a conference record. Tebow became the first Sophomore to win the Heisman and seemed poised to win it again the following season.

However, he did not win the award the following two seasons, but had great years leading Florida to the National Championship game in 2009. Now when Tebow went through the draft process in 2010, he was considered not accurate enough to play quarterback and his throwing motion was too long. However, that did not stop the Denver Broncos from taking him with the 25th pick in the first round.

This pick shocked many as Tebow was not considered first round material. Now that this point in his career Tebow already had a following, as on draft he set a record for jersey sales and was in the top 10 all season. Tebow was mainly the backup quarterback, but he did start the last three game of the season for the Broncos. So heading into the 2011 season many felt that it was Tebow turn to start at QB for the Broncos, but new head coach John Fox felt that Kyle Orton gave them a better chance to win. Then the Broncos started the season 1-4 and finally Fox gave in and started Tebow.

With Tebow as the starter the Broncos won eight straight games, many of them with the Broncos coming back to win in the fourth quarter. Furthermore, most of them were very ugly wins, with Tebow playing terrible until the fourth quarter. In the end the Broncos won the division and won a home playoff game, but Tebow finished with the lowest completion percentage in the NFL.

Even though he won a playoff game, the following season he found himself backing up Mark Sanchez in New York with the Jets. Then the following season he found himself out of the NFL. There are still many fans who believe Tebow could be a starter in the NFL, and there are others who feel that he will never play another game again in the NFL.

So in the end both Fredette and Tebow have a good number of fans who believe they and will be successful at some point. The other reason that both Fredette and Tebow are linked it due to their religious beliefs. So off the court they both are different from most athletes, Tebow especially has gotten a ton of good and bad publicity due to his beliefs. For Tebow, it feels like his chances in the NFL are done, unless he decides to change positions from QB to something else. Jimmer still has a chance to make a name for himself in the NBA as he will be a free agent next season and should get a look from some teams.
