Christmas. A time where friends and family gather together to give gifts, exchange stories and maybe have a drink or two to make those awkward moments less awkward. Unfortunately that was not the case for the Saint Mary’s Gaels and a few other college basketball teams this past week.

Upsets, close contest against ranked teams, rivalries and unexpected teams making statements highlight the action from the past week. Arizona is still undefeated and ranked No.1 in the country and Jabari Parker is still the leading freshman for Duke. However, while there were a few key points to the past week, the Christmas holiday put a damper on early week action with only the Diamond Head Classic out in Hawaii still providing games.

With that said, let’s take a look at some of the biggest highlights, teams and notes from the past in the College Basketball Week in Review.
