Phoenix Suns

Forget about the loss last night. Because, with no offense meant to the Portland Trail Blazers, the Phoenix Suns have been the biggest surprise in the NBA this year. They’re not title contenders or even Western contenders like Rip City, but considering this team was expected to win around 20 games this season, this 14-10 start has been unexpected to say the least. There have been a ton of small surprises like Gerald Green, Miles Plumlee and the Morris twins all playing competent basketball, but none of those are big enough to explain how Phoenix is currently projected to make the playoffs.

Although they’re only starting to get minutes together now, Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe are the biggest reason(s) why this team has been so much better than advertised. It was a good backcourt on paper, but it’s been even better in actuality. This question would’ve seemed ridiculous a few months ago, but it’s a legitimate one now: Do the Phoenix Suns have the best backcourt in the NBA?
