After one of their best stretches of the season, where the Cavaliers won three straight games and four of five, they have now dropped two straight games. The two losses came at the hands of the Heat and Trail Blazers, two of the best teams in the NBA. On Monday, point guard Kyrie Irving received Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors. Over that week, he averaged 29 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.3 steals, with the Cavs going 2-1 over that stretch.
