The Minnesota Timberwolves had a light schedule to begin with last week, with just Wednesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs in Mexico City and a Saturday night battle with the defending champion Miami Heat at the Target Center.

Well, as it turns out, the Timberwolves took an all-expenses paid trip to Mexico to not play the Spurs after a generator problem filled the arena with smoke and forced the postponement of the game. They could have only been so lucky Saturday night—the Heat came in and smoked the Wolves 103-82.
Minnesota has a 9-11 mark and has been saddled with five losses in its last six games overall. That’s 13th in the Western Conference, 2½ games behind eighth-place Golden State
