Thorough Beating – Ricky Rubio posted his first triple-double of the season, with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists and five steals in the Minnesota Timberwolves thorough beating of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Wolves scored 47 points in the first quarter to take a 24-point lead. Kevin Love finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Steve Blake led the Lakers with 19 points, eight assists and three steals.

San Antonio Spurs 120, NEW YORK KNICKS 89

Melo Too Mello – The Spurs jumped out to an 18-point lead after the first quarter and crusied the rest of the way. Danny Green scored 24 points with 10 rebounds, Kawhi Leonard added 18 off the bench and no starter played more than 26 minutes. Carmelo Anthony scored 16 for the Knicks and took just 10 shots in 35 minutes. The Melo trade rumor mill is warming up.

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 106, Washington Wizards 105

Durant Saves – The Thunder looked to be down and out, trailing late in the fourth quarter, but Kevin Durant came to the rescue at the end of regulation and in overtime. Durant finished with 33 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, with Serge Ibaka adding 25, 12 rebounds and three blocks. The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal, who scored 34 points, including an impressive 6-for-8 from 3-point territory.

PHOENIX SUNS 101, New Orleans Pelicans 94

Suns Scorching – Eric Bledsoe and company continue to roll, this time with an impressive home win over the upstart Pelicans. Bledsoe scored 24 points with six assists, Markieff Morris added 23 points and two steals off the bench, Miles Plumlee grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked five shots. Anthony Davis was held mostly in check, with 14 points, 12 rebounds and four steals.
